Each client is given an individual assessment looking at their relationship with food, eating patterns and behaviors and reasons for overeating, snacking and self-sabotage. Attitudes to exercise and other relevant lifestyle factors are also taken into consideration. Thereafter a programme tailored to each individual’s unique needs is offered with an emphasis on sustaining the change over a lifetime and the attainment of health, fitness, energy and vitality. Particular attention is also given to relieving stress which can result in comfort eating and developing a new self image which compliments and reinforces the new healthy lifestyle and behaviors.
Where the amount of weight loss desired is small and the likely reasons for weight gain are purely down to bad habits then a weight loss programme of two or three 90 minute sessions are usually adequate. If there is a significant amount of weight to be lost or if there is a deep emotional attachment to food as the result of some psychosomatic problem this will require Analytical Therapy which utilises regression while in hypnosis to identify and deal with the causes of the presenting problem. Analytical Therapy can need between three to six sessions. However, many of our clients request an ongoing coaching relationship to give them some added motivation and inspire them to astounding results.
